1928 Legacy Tour

In 1928, five trailblazing Black women embarked on an epic 3-day bike tour from Harlem to Washington, DC. Today, we honor their legacy with a 15-week transformative journey, culminating in a chance to rise to their challenge: completing the tour in less time.

Pop-Up Bike Events

Major Knox Adventures brought the joy of cycling to Ward 8 youth with our dynamic Learn-to-Ride programs, powered by the generosity of this year’s 1928 Legacy Tour donors. Additionally, our Fix-a-Bike clinic—funded by DDOE and Friends of Anacostia—revitalized countless local bikes, keeping dozens of pounds of waste out of landfills while empowering riders to hit the streets with confidence.

Looking ahead, we’re gearing up to bring these transformative experiences to more overlooked communities across Washington, DC. Together, we can pedal toward a more sustainable, inclusive, and active future. Join us on this exciting journey!
